Albert Einstein once said, ‘A life lived for others, is the only life worth living.’ No matter the level of wealth we amass, or the fleet of luxury cars we have in our exquisite garage, at the end of the day, sometimes, true fulfilment stems from doing a genuine act of service that lessens the burden of a vulnerable person in the society and inspire hope in him.
In commemoration of my 30th birthday, my foundation, Bayo Lawal Foundation, partnered with the good people of BE-GA to shed bright rays of hope for a better life for some pupils in Iwaya community, Makoko, Lagos.
Education is the bedrock of any society, and every child deserves access to quality education regardless of his community or background. On that note, we distributed 200 school packs comprising of school bags, educational texts, socks, stationery, etc., to the pupils at Iwaya community.
In the words of Martin Luther King, Jr., ‘Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?’ I hope the moments from the outreach captured in the pictures and videos inspire you to commit to giving back to society, creating hope and a chance at better living for vulnerable people in underprivileged communities.
